Amber Sweet

Amber got certified in Butiyoga in November 2018.  Butiyoga is not just an exercise it is a coping mechanism, a practice that challenges you mentally and physically, a meditation in action.  She is also a homeschool mom for three beautiful children; Ria 17, David 9 and Sophia 7. Originally born in Virginia and moved to the Marathon in 2008.

Angela Thorn

Angela received her 200 hr. certification in 2016 and has been exploring teaching yoga ever since. She immediately fell in love with yoga at her first class. The movement and breath work helped her realize the diversity that yoga has to offer all people, regardless of their shape or size. Angela brings a great knowledge of sequencing and joy to her classes.

Janice Pfeffer

Janice has been practicing yoga for over 15 years, receiving her 200hr certification from Power Yoga of Cape Cod in 2012. With a focus on anatomy and alignment (and a touch of humor), Janice’s classes offer a safe, stress free environment for students to explore their full potential within each pose.

Kim Hanna

Kim is an aspiring triathlete, pharmacist, yoga instructor, studio owner and avid baker of sweet treats.  She achieved her 200 hr. certification in 2019 from Pure Hot Yoga in The Dalles, OR. Originally from New Jersey then moving all over the east coast, she settled in Marathon, FL, in 2014.  Yoga was first introduced to her almost 20 years ago at a local gym, and she loved the way her body felt after being stretched out and tension released. Over time, she kept coming back to yoga as a way to help maintain her body’s flexibility, calm mental state and pain free joints.  To this day her yoga philosophy is simple, practice and always listen to your body.

Nancy Kekst

Nancy is a Cleveland, OH native, now Marathon, FL Resident.  She received her first 200 hr. certification in 2012 in the Baptiste style of yoga, from Cleveland Yoga.  She received additional 300 hr. training from Awaken Studios in Mentor Ohio, with special training in the Art of assisting, Yoga 55+, and Restorative Yoga.  A 500 hr. Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, (YACEP) FL Keys Yoga is able to offer many workshops for credit to teachers.

Kelley Harper

As a dancer, movement has always been an important part of Kelley’s life, and when introduced to yoga at 14, she knew she wanted to become a yoga instructor one day.  She received her Yoga Alliance RYT 200 in September 2017. She began teaching in the Florida Keys soon after, connecting with a community in healing in a way only yoga could have allowed her.  Kelley’s style ranges from Vinyasa to Yin with variations in between, and her classes incorporate creative flows, challenging transitions, alignment adjustments, and expansive pranayama techniques. She encourages her students to have fun, challenge themselves to approach familiar poses with a new perspective, and most importantly, to always honor their body. Through this practice, Kelley hopes her students will allow themselves to be completely open and present to whatever meets their path on their journey, living with more connection, intention, and authenticity as they move beyond the mat.

Summer Herd

Summer is a certified yoga teacher as well as a holistic health coach and wellness advocate. She has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and credits it for being her anchor in all things wellness. Her classes focus on alignment, adjustments, and riding the breath with options for exploration along the way.  Summer will get you to breathe a little deeper and encourage you to explore and adjust your practice for your unique body. She encourages yogis to be curious, have fun, and develop their practices through self-awareness.

Kathy Sympson

Kathy has been practicing yoga for over 20 years with different instructors and different styles, including Iyengar, Kripalu, Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, Anusara. Teaching gives her a chance to roll these varieties together and pass it on to others. Activity and learning are important to her for continual mental and physical well-being, and she believes that learning is life-long and that it is never too late to start something new.  I am 200 hr. certified teacher and have been teaching locally since 2015.  I personally relish the sense of calm that yoga instills, and I notice that my regular students absorb this as well.
